Mint Condition Mocha Fake Out

This is the most exciting thing we have discovered! It's only been a couple of days, but this one is worth sharing.

There is a blended coffee at Caribou called Mint Condition Mocha, and it is divine - 470 calories and 63 grams of sugar per medium beverage divine - yikes! We have very closely replicated this at home using our Profile Mint Chip Protein Shake mix. Here is the recipe:
  • 8 oz of cold coffee (you can brew it ahead of time and put it in the refrigerator)
  • 8 oz of cold water
  • 1 packet of Mint Chip Profile Protein Shake mix
  • A handful of ice cubes (this is a personal preference, I used between 7 and 10 ice cubes)
Throw it all in a blender. Blend for 10-20 seconds or until ice is blended to small pieces and the drink is smooth. Again, this is personal preference on the ice!

This is a nice treat for any time of day, but I think it really helps kick the "drive-thru coffee craving" that you get when you see your favorite coffee shop. Unfortunately, a specialty coffee can have a lot of empty calories and sugar in it. This was a huge addiction for us, but having the option to make something just as good that is Profile approved really helps with the cravings!

Give it a shot and let me know what you think in the comments. Is it worth it? Do you have any coffee recipes to share that are Profile friendly? I would love to know because this "going out for specialty coffee" craving is going to be the hardest part for me, I think!
